About 4 km away, is easily accessible via green walking paths. The old Roman port is the hinge between the two islands of Cres in the north and Losinj in the south. For centuries the place was an important trading point and later a bishop’s seat. Since 1976, Osor has hosted a summer classical music festival. The cathedral, the ruins of two monasteries, an archaeological museum and a small bishop’s museum are interesting places to visit.
